Two freshly baked Scandinavian pastries
One coffee or cold brew with your choice of homemade syrup & milk
A Kos Bakes punch card (to use at future pop-ups!)
Two hours of cozy vibes, good music, great company, and rooftop views
To-go boxes will be available for those who would like to take their pastries with them. The event address will be sent a few days before the party.
Hi! I’m Zack Brown—owner, creator, and head baker at Kos Bakes.
Kos is a Norwegian word without a perfect English translation, but here’s how I think of it: the instant happiness you feel when you’re comfortable, warm, and together with others. Think everything from a cozy gathering around the fireplace, to watching TV on the couch, and even cold plunging and then hopping into the sauna with friends.
My heritage is rooted in Norwegian and Irish ancestry. My Scandinavian roots trace back to Stavanger, Norway, where my grandparents immigrated to Northern Iowa to farm and start fresh. Now I’m carrying forward that Nordic spirit—this time through baking.
At Kos Bakes, my mission is to share the best of Scandinavian pastries with you. These bakes are simple yet special: light, fluffy, perfectly spiced, and deeply comforting. From Swedish cardamom buns to Norwegian skoleboller to modern creations like rye brown butter chocolate chunk cookies—there’s something here for everyone.
So grab a pastry, curl up under a blanket, light the fire, and let yourself sink into all that kos means.
